Hi’ilani Williams Named Big Ten Player of the Week

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Second year Hi'ilani Williams has been named the Big Ten Women's Tennis Player of the Week, announced by the league office on Wednesday (Oct. 6).
She earned the honor for the second-consecutive season after winning Flight 1 of the 2026 Hoosier Classic last weekend. Williams claimed her victory after defeating No.46 Bianca Molnar (Notre Dame), 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. She went undefeated in singles play also securing wins against an opponent from Ball State (6-0, 6-3) and Notre Dame (6-1, 6-1).
In doubles play, Williams and partner Elisabeth Dunac earned two victories over Miami (6-4) and Ball State (6-3).
Williams becomes the latest IU Women's Tennis player to earn Big Ten Player of the Week after also receiving the award last season.
