
Indiana Opens Big Ten Play with Two Ranked Teams

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Hoosiers will open up Big Ten play by hosting No. 11 Northwestern and traveling to No. 16 Iowa .
Indiana will open Big Ten play with two ranked teams beginning on Friday with a home game against No. 11 Northwestern followed by a game in Iowa City on Sunday against the No. 16 Hawkeyes. The Friday matchup against the Wildcats will be the last chance to see the Hoosiers at home until Oct. 5. Both games will stream live, Northwestern's game via BTN Plus on BTN2Go.com and the Iowa game will be shown on the Big Ten Network.

Last Time: Comeback kids
The Hoosiers played two at home last weekend as part of the Hoosier Invitational. Facing the No. 20 Stanford Cardinal, IU fell 4-1 with its lone goal coming from Claire Woods, her second of the year, with Ciara Girouard on the assist.
Indiana saw itself in a tough spot against Saint Francis when it surrendered two goals going into the break. The Hoosiers came back for the second half with a strong showing, scoring four goals to grab a 4-2 win. Kelsey Giese started the scoring and Ciara Girouard, Taylor Swope and Bente Buwalda followed with goals.
The Hoosiers Share
Last year, Maddie Latino ran away with the scoring title with 10 goals in 19 games.
Already this season, the goals have been spread out as seven Hoosiers have tallied a goal and Giese, Woods, and Buwalda top the charts with two goals a piece.
We Meet Again, Iowa
The last couple of meetings with the Hawkeyes have been tight as the Hoosiers fell 4-3 last year and 2-1 in overtime the previous year. Rylee Pearson tallied a goal for IU in the 2017 loss.
