Meet Central: IUTF Begin B1G Outdoor Championship

EUGENE, Ore. – The Indiana track and field program heads to the west coast to Eugene, Oregon for the Big Ten Outdoor Championship. The meet will take place at Hayward Field, with competition starting Friday (May 16) and ending on Sunday (May 18).
Indiana has qualified 53 athletes in a combined 38 events on the men's and women's side.

THE HOOSIER LINEUP
The Hoosiers have 12 top 10 marks heading into post season competition in the Big Ten.
Veronica Hargrave and Mariah Wehrle lead the women's distance group. Hargrave's 800 time ranks seventh (2:04.34) while Wehrle sits at sixth in the 10,000 (33:24.04.
Jania Hodges sits at fourth in conference with her time in the 400-meter hurdles. Her time also sits at second in the all-time program list.
The women's 4xq00 relay team of Kristina Vincic, Kiera Davis, Olivia Gee, and Aliyah Johnson rank seventh among Big Ten competition with their time of 44.92.
Makayla Hunter's distance of 16.68m/54-8.75 in the shot put ranks just inside the top 10 at ninth. She set this mark last week during the Billy Hayes Invitational.
Trelee Banks-Rose leads the Hoosiers, holding top 5 times in. two separate events. His times in the 100 (10.05) and 200 (20.47) are set at fourth and fifth, respectively.
Martin Segurola (1500m; 3:39.54) and Abe Eckman (5,000; 13:46.51) each rank tenth in their respective events.
Novo Onovwerosuoke, Tamer Saleh, Christian Woodson, and Trelee Banks will take on the 4x100 (39.58) with their time ranking fifth among Big Ten competition.
Sean Mockler currently ranks fifth in competition for the hammer throw with his school record distance of 68.38m/225-9.
Garrett Messer leads the Hoosiers in the decathlon with a seventh ranking point total of 7127. His record also sits at seventh in the all-time program list.
