
Meet Central: IUTF Host Billy Hayes Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Indiana track and field program looks to close the regular season as they are set to host to Billy Hayes Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana on Friday, May 9.
The Hoosiers will compete against 19 teams over the day including in-state schools in Butler, Depauw, Evansville, UIndy, Marian, and Southern Indiana. Bellarmine, Cedarville, Chicago State, Earlham, Hanover, Illinois State, Louisville, Miami (OH), Morehead State, Northen Illinois, Principa, SE Missouri, and Washington U will also be competing in the meet across 42 events. The day of competition will start at noon with the women's hammer throw.
Indiana has entered 63 athletes in a combined 32 events on the men's and women's side.

THE HOOSIER LINEUP
Sprints and Hurdles:
The Hoosiers will be well represented in Friday's 100-meter prelims. Aliyah Johnson and Lyric Steele will compete in the women's race, while Trelee Banks-Rose and Dezmone Starks will look to do the same on the men's side.
Olivia Gee will look to advance to the finals in the women's 100-meter hurdle prelims, as will John Colquitt and Garrett Messer in the men's 110-meter hurdles.
In the 200, Kate Henselmeier and Kiera Davis will line up for the Hoosiers in the women's race. Otto De St Jeor, Christian Woodson, Tamer Saleh, and Starks will follow on the men's side.
Morgan Snow and Kristina Vincic are looking to compete in the 400-meter dash, along with Daquan Tate and Cameron Mullens on the men's side.
In the 400-meter hurdles, Kai Snell will represent Indiana in the women's race, as Colquitt and Max Grangier will compete in the men's race.
Distance & Mid-Distance:
Five Hoosiers will compete in the 800-invitational run. Veronica Hargrave, Ameli Dodds, Maddie Russin, and Nola Somers Glenn will run on the women's side, and Andrew Mangum will be the lone Hoosier in the men's race.
Catie McCabe will also be competing in the women's 800.
Indiana will take over the 1,500-meter invitational, with 12 runners across the men's and women's races. Taylor Fox, Lily Myers, Mariah Wehrle, Veronica Hargrave, Joey Rastrelli, Katelyn Winton, Michaela Quinn and Claire Overfelt make up the women's runners. On the men's side, Martin Segurola, Aidan Lord, Abe Eckman, and Matt Kim will compete for Indiana.
In the 3,000-meter, Tony Provenzano, Dylon Nalley, Brayden Henkle, Caden Click, and Aaron Lord are set to run on the men's side, and Emma Everhart-Deckard will run in the women's race.
The 3,000 steeplechases will feature Cole Raymond and Garrett Hicks on the men's side, along with Ines Herault in the women's run.
Jumps:
Deepak Laungani and Taylor Schoonveld will compete in the high jump events.
Vince Davero will be the lone Hoosier competing in the long jump.
In the triple jump, Kelly Moran will look to improve in the women's jump.
Pole Vault:
Peyton McQuinn will vault for Indiana in the meet.
Throws:
The Women's hammer throw will start competition, with Hannah Alexander and Bridget Beyer competing. The men's side will include Sean Mockler, Nikolaos Sidirenios, and Tyler Reyna.
Alexander will be joined by Makayla Hunter in the women's discus. Indiana will show Dane Sebert, Drew Franklin, Caleb Smith, Hunter Smith, Tyler Reyna, and Messer on the men's side.
The duo of Hunter and Alexander will also be competing in the women's shot put, joined by Seth Brosseau and Sebert in the men's competition.
